Riverdane

Post by Sorgaine » Wed Nov 13, 2013 6:01 pm

Hello All,

I am not sure how many folks check this board any longer, but I wanted to reach out to as many as I could.

I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but last week we lost a good friend, Riverdane. :(
Below is a very nice article written about him, and a link to his online obituary so you can post to the guestbook if you'd like.

Magestica is trying to round up pictures/stories so she can put them all together. Can you please post them, or send them to my email, if you have any?

Wow, I'm so very sorry to hear that. He was a good man, and I'm glad I got to meet him and hang out with him in Vegas. I will never forget the drunken Karaoke night, and his look of surprise when I managed to hit the high note in "Goodbye, Yellow Brick Road"!

I will be sure to toast him tonight when I get home with a White Russian, the drink of choice at the Karaoke bar. The world is a lesser place without him.

Hi guys!

Things are well here in Colorado. Everybody is scattered with different MMOs or RL, but Im pretty much still in touch. We lost Norikesh a few years ago, and now River, but I think everybody else is ok.

Is Walkers still around? Do folks still play EQ?

I am looking for some pics from our Vegas trip and I think they are in the Private section. Can I reapply to Walkers even if I dont play? I'd love to look through some old posts. Good times we had.

I think somebody is going to make a F;acebook group in dedication to River. When its up, I'll post it here so you can join it if you'd like.

As promised, here is the Facebook Memorial (Which has also turned into a huge reunion of old Walkers). Feel free to join!

Thanks for letting us know about Riverdane.
The article you mentioned in your first post seems to be missing.
Hope you are doing well.
Walkers of Vazaelle is on the Drinal server now.
There are a handful of casual players and alts in the guild that play regularly.
Years ago active Walker Mains moved to Appotus Dominus.
When AD imploded we all moved Celestial Navigators where we still are today.
I have granted you membership access to the forum.
Hope you are able to find what you are looking for.

Well, shit. He was a true gentleman, with passion and wit, and was one of the most generous players I ever had the fortune to meet in Norrath or anywhere else. I sing a lament this day.
