Magestica's Farewell...

Magestica's Farewell...

Post by Magestica » Tue Oct 12, 2004 10:57 pm

Magestica came through the portal from the Plane of Knowledge hard, hitting the ground with a thud from her boots. Her white hair strewn across her face, she looked out across the Overthere, in search of the Dragoons and thier minions, the Golems.

Hurriedly she summons Mystyx, the beautiful white horse given to her by Tunare. As the sound of beating hooves comes closer, Magestica grabs the saddle, swinging her body up and into it. In one graceful and powerful move they are off, heading towards the Frontier Mountains.

They ride hard across the barron land, never looking back. They had to hurry, she knew, for Magestica had heard news of Roksta, and could not delay.

Xyzruhl of Triality had witnessed Roksta's demise, sneaking through the mines of Droga. The Bard was overtaken by The Goblins of the Mine, and was carried away. Magestica rode to Droga now, to retrieve her husband.

Two days later, Magestica stood among the bodies of Goblin guards at the entrance of Droga.

The way was clear, as she looked into the horses eyes. She placed her hands on each side of the horses head, nuzzling
her. She took off her bridle and saddle. She slid off the saddle blanket, and placed it on the ground.

"Time for you to go, Mystyx." she said sliding her hand down the horses side, "Tunare be with us both." She patted the horses haunches and Mystyx cantered away.

She watched a moment until the horse was unable to be seen. She picked up River's Windblade and strapped it to her back. Her Maul in hand, she entered Droga. It was time to find her husband.

The clearing in Droga was hard, and the entrance was as far as she made it.
3 Goblins had wasted her mana and her Lay of Hands. On King Dronan's order reinforcements had been sent. She was knocked blind by a rock to the head, and carried into the mines, over the screams and screeches of the Goblins.

Quiet...dead silent. The Windblade Riverdane had given her lay at the entrance. The Walker Paladin was gone.

I write to you all a farewell. For now, my time is done. I want to take this moment to tell you all how much your friendship has meant to me. Things for me from this moment on will never be the same, but I will look upon these 3 years of Norrath and remember that always...ALWAYS, The Walkers dwell.

A time may come that Magestica finds her way out of the Mines, and home to Walkers, but it isn't now.

All my love,

Magestica

I am honored to retire as a Walker. It is sudden, I know. I have reasons, or else I never would. You are all very dear to me, and I want you to know it with all my heart.

Good friends, good people, that is what Walkers is.

I am glad that I was a part of it. Thank you for all the opportunity and all the great times, guys. I will never forget, never.

Magestica,

I hope that things in your life start to turn around and that you and your family benefit from this break that you are taking. May you find strength and guidance in the challenges you face ahead and may you find a lasting joy.

Good luck and safe journeys,

Phin

I know I'm not around EQ much lately but I hate to see this happen. I know how much the game meant to you and how many friends you had there. Take care of yourself and those kids, you are doing a great job.

You know you can't hide from me so we will be in touch, just like I know a lot of other Walkers will be in touch. So take solace in the fact that you will still have your friends.
