Where to begin..........

When our members walk another path from the guild, this is a crossroads where those paths meet once more, at least for a time. This is a PUBLIC forum!

Where to begin..........

Post by Neffretiri » Fri Jul 30, 2004 11:06 am

It is with a heavy heart that I find myself contemplating leaving the Walkers. I have come to realize over the past few months that EQ and most things in it are in the wind down stage and peeps seem to just be waiting for the “next big thing” to come along, i.e., WoW and EQ2. As such, I have sensed a lot apathy around here lately which is evident by the numbers we have logging on and more importantly, the numbers we don’t. While I love the Walkers, I do want to see more end game content before this game crumbles and is replaced by the new things coming our way. Unfortunately, that appears to not be possible here - or maybe I’m just too impatient to wait. Especially since I have been fortunate enough to become fully EP flagged recently. Now that I am - I want to see it! I will always have a special place in my heart for all of you in the Walkers and will look forward to progressing through one of those new games with you all later this year if you'll have me.

Neff,

I see the same thing you are talking about. I see a very unsure horizon. I don't like to think about the time that EQ ends, because I honestly won't get into another game. This is the only thing I ever did get into.

Your desire to see EP and go toward end game is a very big desire for not only you, but so many as the roads seems to be narrowing. I don't condemn you for that. I would like to see it myself, but I find myself on more personal goals...Epic and such.

If you must leave, your spirit will be here and I know that you will think of us and that we will still be in your thoughts. I will miss seeing you and BT signing off together, and seeing you guys putting your funny little comments into Guild Chat.

Please send a tell once in awhile if this is what you decide. Tell me how the EPlanes look, I would so love to go.

Take care! *hugs!*

Thankies Mage! If you ever need a shoulder, you know where to find us. I'm glad you're doing better and getting on your feet with your family. We'll miss you and everyone very much, but we are only a tell or e-mail away. Hopefully we can all have other get togethers like we did in Vegas. Until then, see you in game.........

Sigh, seeing more and more of this lately. I understand the want to get on and see new things, and you're probably right in assuming Walkers won't be there anytime soon, especially when we keep loosing our best people to other guilds. Or when there's a flagging raid and many of our best-equipped/most AAd people are grouping in the EPs during that time... they would have made that little 13% diffrence that was needed. I know it's old hat to them, but if they ever want to see them like they're supposed to be seen; IE in a raid, unfortunatly the only option is to join a guild that's already there if they're not willing to buckle down and do a bunch of flagging raids.
NM, I'm not going to say anymore because I know it will be taken wrong and I don't want to hijack Neff's thread. I really do wish you, and anyone else that decides they need to move on the very best, I just hate to see it happen because doing so is really what's making Walker's what you hate so much- stagnent.

Good Luck and many hugs

oh gonna miss you folks badly.

When I joined there were several folks about that time that left because they said the guild wasn't the same. I think it was because the Guild is the friends, and as those friends leave it isn't the same. I now understand that emotion more. anyway, will take that thread to a new one.

We love you Neffie, BT, .........
