Walkers Guild is a group of friends who enjoy similar things about their Everquest experience, and who take pleasure from each other's company. Most of us are adults, but that is a not a requirement for membership. None of us are as concerned about the power of our items as we are about strength of our relationships with other players in the game, Walkers or not. We have all agreed to help other players when appropriate and reasonable to do so. This does not mean twinking newbies or SoWing every d00d who demands it with a growl, but rather being polite enough to offer directions if we have the time, or even providing escort on occasion. Few of us who have been Walkers long have not benefited greatly from the help of our guild-mates, and we know we can rely on each other in times of great need.

We have agreed that bigotry of any kind has no place in Walkers Guild, whether presented in game terms or not. Our ranks include an Ogre and a Dark Elf, and in the past we have welcomed Iksar. We do not use Everquest as a place to practice Real Life bigotry, either. While the players behind the characters may have many different views, the characters within the game practice tolerance of all people and peoples and do not use the anonymity of the Internet and the game to spread hate.

Walkers Guild is small by design. A bulging membership might help us to attain power, or reach the planes quicker, but the journey would be less pleasurable without careful selection of our companions. Our membership is frequently closed while we work out internal issues or simply because the officers are too busy to do proper interviews of perspective recruits. If you are a person applying for membership and it is taking a while, don't take it personally, but do know that if you are eventually welcomed into the Walkers that we see it as a privilege and an honor; many before you were either turned down or grew impatient and joined other guilds with more inclusive agendas.
