I finished patching, but when I go to login I get "Error - a time out has occurred".
Any ideas? I moved EQhost file and got new one, but still no cigar

Hey Hahlador,
They brought the servers back down to patch their patch. There is nothing wrong with your computer or files, just SOE.

Looks like Sony decided you need a timeout!

I am getting the same error. Being a techno-neanderthal my best recourse was to assume it was just a patch-day "thing" and I'll try again tomorrow

In my boredom, I decided to download maps from mapfiend for TSS.
BTW...how do you get to TSS zones? Is there a PoK stone?

Apparently some zones were giving too much aaxp (15% or so per kill) & no regular xp at all. No eta until servers come back so time for some goofy posts

Crescent Reach stone is sitting in the middle of the path between PoT & Qeynos stone.
http://www.obsservers.com/eq.htm has some awesome maps that are (maybe) standard on map screen. Another way to get CR is to use ingame reward

I had heard that the hamsters that power the login server got into some bad spinach
